Want to have me speak at an event, hire me, or just hang out socially? Email me:
I also welcome feedback on my writing. I read every email.
You can also follow me on Instagram at @billmeidotnet but I don’t post very often. If you want to keep in touch, the best way to do so is via my email list.
Hang out with me IRL
I write because I enjoy learning new perspectives from you, meeting new people, and hanging out in person (or virtually)!
This is my standing invitation: if you have something interesting you’d like to share with me, I want to talk to you.
I try to be transparent in my writing, so hopefully you’ll be able to get a sense of my personality just from reading this blog. You can learn more about my operating principles at billmei.net/principles
Here are a few essays you can start with if you are new to my writing:
- Hosting an arts & crafts and game show birthday party
- Thoughts on jealousy
- Vulnerability is not enough
The Three Quilt Theory of Relationships
In friendships form via shared context, not shared activities, I introduce the idea that it’s a sense of shared responsibility that makes for strong friendships, not doing activities based on superficial traits.
The three quilt theory is that a relationship becomes strong when you share at least three overlapping contexts in your friendship quilt.
Therefore, if you’d like to hang out IRL I would prefer we find some way for you to help my friends, such as attending a gathering like Learning Night.
Otherwise if you’d like to hang out 1:1 feel free to email me at ten.iemllib@llib and introduce yourself, as well as a link to your online media (so I know you are a real person).
I look forward to meeting you!
